Results can be dramatic and, with proper care, can last for years. The process is simple. Your dentist will first cover up your gums and lips, leaving only your teeth exposed. Next, a hydrogen peroxide whitening gel will be applied to the teeth, which will then be exposed to a special blue LED light that is wavelength matched to the gel to effectively whiten and brighten your teeth. The light activates the gel which works to break apart the carbon bonds that create discolouration and staining. The process does not harm the structure of your teeth in any way. The entire process usually takes approximately 20 minutes and is repeated several times during the appointment for best results.
