<title>CEREC</title>
<link>http://www.MillenniumDental.Ca//services.asp?service=24</link>
<description>
															CEREC is a dental restoration process that uses a variety of computer assisted technologies, including 3D photography and CAD/CAM. It allows crowns, veneers, onlays and inlays to be prepared using a ceramic material that closely matches your natural teeth not just in colour and appearance, but also in the ability to expand or contract as your natural teeth do.The restoration procedure with CEREC is done in a single appointment, start to finish, so you leave the office same day with your dental restoration completed.CEREC materials are chemically bonded to your tooth so we can save as much healthy tooth structure as possible while providing you with a dental restoration that strengthens your tooth.Single Appointment RestorationsMost dental restorative methods require two visits to the dentist, two weeks apart to complete the work. With CEREC, the procedure is done in a single appointment, start to finish. CEREC Dental MaterialsCEREC materials match the physical properties of natural tooth more closely than metal crowns. Specifically, when hot food or cold drinks are consumed the restoration and tooth expand and contract at closer rates so that they don't interfere with each other.The ceramic material has some properties that make it very suitable for use in dental restorations. It expands and contracts in response to temperature changes at a rate approximately half-way between those of enamel and dentin. It also wears away at approximately the same rate as enamel. There is also a composite material available which has some advantages in restoring smaller inlay type restorations. The CEREC ProcessThe cavity preparation is first photographed and stored as a three dimensional digital model and then we use digital technology to approximate the restoration shape using biogeneric comparisons to surrounding teeth and refine that model using 3D CAD software. When the design phase is complete, the information is sent to the milling unit which mills the actual restoration from a solid block of material using diamond burs. The restoration is then bonded to the tooth using a resin cement which bonds to both the restoration as well as the tooth itself.With CEREC, we can use strong, tooth colored ceramic materials to restore your teeth to their natural beauty and function.

<title>Crowns </title>
<link>http://www.MillenniumDental.Ca//services.asp?service=14</link>
<description>
															A dental crown or &#8216;cap&#8217; is fitted onto a tooth when it has been damaged or decayed to the point that the tooth is badly weakened and can&#8217;t hold a filling. If you have a tooth is severely decayed, cracked, or in danger of cracking, a crown may be the best solution. A crown looks and functions the same as a natural tooth. It is custom-made to match the contours of your tooth and fitted to cover the tooth completely and protect your tooth from further damage. Crowns can be made of gold, porcelain or stainless steel. At Millennium Dental we specialize in a process called CEREC utilizing a
ceramic material that closely matches your natural teeth not just in
colour and appearance, but also in the ability to expand or contract as
your natural teeth do.Using digital modelling, the restoration procedure with CEREC is
done in a single appointment, start to finish, so you leave the office
same day with your dental restoration completed.Crowns strengthen and protect your teeth, and they can be a great improvement to your smile.
